Hot on the heels of the New York City Marathon version of our ASICS microsite (supportyourmarathoner.com), is a new site geared toward the Honda LA Marathon. We worked in conjunction with San Diego-based Vitro, and our development partner, Gauged2.com, to launch this site. Supportyourmarathoner.com allows supporters of marathon runners to post video messages that will be played at the race course on large LCD screens when runners pass through various points on the course. The site was built with ruby-on-rails using the Heroku hosting platform. We also incorporated Zencoder & Viddler technologies to handle the video upload and rendering.
